who can join?

There are 5 membership categories:

Member – Corporate UAE Resident Companies:
An annual fee of Dhs1,500
Any corporation, organisation, firm or business can apply to be a Corporate Member, providing they can show a valid relationship with Australia and they can show that they are: licensed by the relevant UAE authorities to conduct business in Dubai and/or other Northern Emirates.  Gulf subsidiaries or branches of Australian companies must apply as Corporate Members.

Member – Corporate Associate Non Resident Australian Companies:
An annual fee of Dhs 2,000
Any corporation, organisation, firm or business can apply to be an Associate Corporate Member, provided they can demonstrate a valid business and trade relationship with Australia.

The annual fee for both corporate categories offers:-:
•    Inclusion of 2 members.
•    A listing on the ABCD Web site and free links to an existing Corporate Web page.
•    An entry in the Industry index, listed by company name, detailing the industries covered by the Companies products/services.
•    Additional members joining (over the 2) are charged a fee of Dhs400 per person.

Member – Individual Resident of UAE:
An annual fee of Dhs 500
An individual person, providing they can show a valid relationship with Australia (by way of production of a current Australian passport), and who is ordinarily resident in the UAE, or a UAE national, can apply to be an Individual Member.

Member - Young Professionals Group (under 35's)
An annual fee of Dhs 250 per person
Any individual can apply for this membership, providing they can show proof of age, have a valid relationship with AUstralia (by way of production of a current Australian passport) and who is ordinarily resident in the UAE or a UAE national, can apply to be a  Young Professional Member.
 
Member – Individual Non Resident Australian Overseas:
An annual fee of Dhs 750
Any person who is not ordinarily resident in a GCC country and who would otherwise qualify for membership, shall on approval of the Executive Committee of the Council and payment of the prescribed fee, be entitled to the same rights and privileges of an Individual Member except that they shall have no voting rights.

The annual fee for both individual categories offers:-
•    A listing on the ABCD Web site
•    An entry in the Industry index, listed by Surname name.
